Goals & Accomplishments
M9S is a proprietary loan origination system developed at MentorWorks Education Capital, allowing students to apply for income share agreements for post-secondary education, funded through investor partners. Off-the-shelf solutions did not meet the particular dynamics of an income share agreement and the complex payment flows needed to accommodate the student, school, originating bank partner, and investor.
The platform was white-labeled for key partners and ultimately licensed to another income share agreement lender, generating substantial value for MentorWorks as they scaled their operation. A first-class OpenAPI-compatible API was offered with built-in documentation.
